Welcome to The PRAYER TEAM update for the new church plant in Schertz, TX. We are honored to have you praying for us and with us!

Below you will find the things we are praying for right now. As always, if you have a prayer request, please let us know and Pastor Zak will pray for you.

-PRAISE: We did our first outreach event on the 4th of July at a local parade and carnival by handing out cards and water along with having some good conversations. We were able to meet a LOT of people and even had a few schedule meetings with us about joining the launch team.

-Pray for the people we met at the 4th of July celebration, that they’d join the launch team and check out the church. And, most important of all, that ultimately they’d meet Christ!

-Pray for the atheist girl that Pastor Zak met on the 4th. She was very straightforward about her atheism but very excited about helping name the church!

-Please continue to pray for lots of seeds to be planted this summer that we can sow later on in the fall.

-PRAISE: Our meeting with the local business went even better than we were praying for! It looks like we’ll have a place to meet that will be BIG, SUPER CHEAP, and even hand us our own key! The location does have some challenges so please continue to pray that it would be the right spot and that we’d be able to work through those challenges.

-Pray for our launch team members who have to sell homes, find homes, move, find jobs, and go through some other big transitions. God is putting together an amazing team and they need your prayers. Right now, you can pray specifically for Ben & Lisa Branam, Seth & Shannon Pennington, Jeff & Monica McCracken, and Michael & Joe Seacrest.

-Pray for Pastor Zak as his family is away for 3 weeks. He is a big wimp without them.

-PRAISE: Pastor Zak has a contract on his house! God is absolutely incredible. Thank you for praying for this. Please pray now that the family purchasing the house gets their loan.

-Pray for our church planting coach, Sam Douglass, to have wisdom in coaching us.

-Pray for The Connection Church and Pastor Zak as he transitions out of his role as Executive Pastor there over the next couple of weeks.

-Pray for a place for the new church to meet!

-Pray we’d be literally addicted to seeing lives changed by the power of Jesus Christ.

-Pray for our entire team, that we would choose the right church name. See http://www.namethischurch.com to help us decide on a name.

-Pastor Zak’s family has to sell their home! They aren’t trying to make a penny on it. They just need to sell it, break even, and get on their way down to Schertz. Please pray that the house sells fast to someone who needs a nice home! It goes on the market next week.

-You can also take PRACTICAL action with this prayer request by sharing about the home with anyone you might know that is looking for a place to live. Just tell them to call Pastor Zak at 512-262-8054

-Please pray for The Launch Team. We are praying big! We want this team to be passionate about starting a spiritual revolution in the lives of those far from God. Pray for us to be able to meet the right people and get them serving in the right spot.

-Pray for launch team families for peace, comfort, and excitement about their own moves and big changes in life that are coming soon.

-Pray for Ben and Lisa Branam (our Executive Director) and their new baby boy Bradley. They will be going through some big life transitions to serve with the new church.

-Pray for our friends, the PALMS puppet ministry as they are in Belize right now sharing Christ in some very remote places. Report from today was that 120 salvation decisions were made! Praise God!

-Pray for us to choose the right name for the church that will generate interest and excitement in the community.

Since we announced that we’d be planting a new church one of the first questions that everyone asks is “where will you be meeting?” The answer?

We have found a few places that would be great to meet but we have no idea if they are even possibilities. Please pray that God would give us wisdom to find the right spot and that He would grant us favor with people in the community who can make it happen!
